Yellow Ribbon Available for Bloomer Homeowners
Bloomer Advance, May 5, 2004
The overwhelming positive response to the recent "Operation Yellow Ribbon," which saw yellow ribbonsdisplayed on Main Street utility poles, has brought about numerous requests from residents as to how they might get a ribbon to display at their home.

Heathe Harsh, her daughter Elayana and HEather's mother, Sue Norman, continue to distribute ribbons to other cities, towns, and schools in the area as the highly successful campaign continues. With a limited number of hours to meet these commmitments, Heather Harsh, when reached by phone readily volunteered to drop off a supply of untied yellow plastic sections at the Bloomer Advance. The sections are part of the rolls of materials donated to the project by Bloomer Plastics, whose generous gift served to make the project such a success.
"We have been so pleased by the great response to our project" said Heather. "Our phone has been ringing steadily since we began distributing the ribbons and requestsfor ribbons continue to come in. I quess our Motto: "Neighbor to Neighbor, Pass it on," expresses best the way in which this project has caught the public's attention.

The yellow ribbon will be available for pick-up at the Advance office from 8 am - 5 pm, Monday through Friday. You are requested to limit your selection to one ribbon per family.
